I know Glow Until Dawn has been quiet so far this year, and I wanted to take a moment to share why.

In January, my mother, Gayle, passed away after a long battle with esophageal cancer. I needed time to begin working through the grief of losing her, and to be honest, grief is rarely simple. My relationship with my mother was complicated. My sister and I were separated and grew up in foster care for many of the formative years of our young lives. But as an adult, and especially over the last 10 years, I was able to build a much closer relationship with my mom.

That time mattered deeply.
